Still organic red from the Montefalco DOC in Umbria, 14.5% ABV, produced by Tenute Lunelli – Tenuta Castelbuono. Blend: 70% Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. 0.75L bottle, 2023 vintage. A wine born from the Lunelli family’s passion for Umbria and Sagrantino, stored in Arnaldo Pomodoro’s charming “Carapace” cellar. The nose immediately strikes with its elegance and complexity, with open aromas of cherry and morello cherry, cloves, and balsamic notes. Bright ruby red in color. The same elegance is found on the palate, a beautifully balanced, enveloping, fresh, and remarkably powerful wine that is already fully drinkable but will also benefit from some aging.
