Still red from Piedmont, Barolo DOCG, 14.5% ABV, produced by Pio Cesare. 100% Nebbiolo. 0.75 L bottle, 2021 vintage. A Barolo that celebrates the history of a family that has been producing excellent wines in Alba since 1881. Vinification in stainless steel at fairly high temperatures. Maceration: approximately 30 days. Aged for approximately 30 months in oak barrels and a small portion in barriques for the first 12 months. An exemplary and profound aroma exudes tar, alpine herbs, gentian, juniper, cinchona, and rhubarb. It is then embellished with berries, eucalyptus, and sweet spices. Delicate toasted tones. A delicate ruby color verging on garnet. Silky and elegant on the palate, it is welcoming and flavorful. The decisive freshness complements perfectly the velvety, refined tannins. Persistent, it is enhanced by clear hints of anise and mint.
