The sherry oak 12 year old forms part of their sherry oak range which features a series of matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity.

• A nose of dried fruit, candied citrus peel and oak with notes of ginger and nutmeg
• The palate is smooth, medium balanced with fruit, oak and spice
• Long with sweet dried fruits, oak and spice finish

When maturing exclusively in seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. The rich, fruity and full bodied ‘new make’ spirit is transforms into a classic single malt. Once the cask is full, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for 12 years.

It is these oak casks that make the greatest contribution to the quality, natural colour and distinctive aromas and flavours which lie at the heart of The Macallan single malt.
