Domaine Bachey-Legros Chassagne-Montrachet
A wine of opulence, richness, and power that promises a truly indulgent experience for the senses. Made using vines planted in 2012 on south-east facing clay-limestone soils. After fermentation, with light batonnage, the wine is matured for 14 months in oak, of which 25% is new.
- Light gold in colour with green highlights. This reveals captivating aromas of mayflower, acacia, and honeysuckle, with delicate hints of verbena, toast, and hazelnut
- The palate unfolds with layers of apple, melon, citrus, nuts, toast, and vanilla. Complemented by classic toasted oak and poised flinty minerality
- With age, notes of honey or ripe pear emerge, enhancing the wine’s complexity and depth
With a legacy spanning six generations, the Bachey-Legros family has perfected the art of winemaking. Nurturing their vines with dedication and passion. Situated in Santenay-le-Haut, their domaine boasts a picturesque setting at the foot of Trois Croix hill, offering a stunning backdrop to the wine tasting experience.
The opulence and power of Domaine Bachey-Legros Chassagne-Montrachet makes it an ideal partner for delicate white meats, like poultry or veal in sauce. It also complements fish dishes, whether served in well-spiced couscous or in Asian-inspired curries and stir-fries. Salmon, with its aromatic profile, harmonizes particularly well with this exceptional wine.
