Corentin Houillon – Vieux Foug 2021

Vieux Foug 2021 is a natural wine crafted by , in the Savoie region in . This red wine is made with grapes and the wine is named after the mountain looking over the domaine.

The vines for Vieux Foug Gamay is grown on steep sandstone soils and Corentin Houillon ferments the wine partly in whole bunches  and partly destemmed.

Expect floral, peppery touches, acidity and minerality in this lovely Gamay.

As for the winemaker, Corentin Houillon is related to Emmanuel Houillon of Domaine Houillon-Overnoy in Jura, and has been tasting wines with his expert family ties since a young age. He worked with Stephane Tissot, Dominique Derain and wineries abroad before settling into his 5 acres in Savoie, surrounded by mountains and forests, which he farms with a holistic approach
