Sauvage 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Clos Bateau, in the Beaujolais region in . This red wine is made with grapes, grown from a previously abandoned plot the duo have brought back to life when they took on the property

Tasting wise, this vibrant Gamay ’Sauvage’ features the typical Cacao touch seemingly in most Clos Bateau reds we adore, and there is a distinct wildness floating amongst hints of black cherries, vanilla, herbs and cream. What a delicious wine!!!
About Sauvage from Clos Bateau
Unfortunately we didn’t launch our special cuvée sauvage last year. But we’re happy to announce that we can offer Sauvage ’23. It’s from our famous parcelle sauvage, which was abandoned for couple a of years before we arrive. This means special grapes but incredibly low yield: 6 HL/ha. Long aging of 10 months in fiberglass which expresses the terroir quite amazing.
Production of just 1260 bottles
