Chateau des Rontets – Pouilly Fuissé Les Birbettes 2020 MAGNUM

Pouilly Fuissé Les Birbettes 2020 MAGNUM is a natural wine crafted by , in the Burgundy region in . This white wine is made with grapes, and comes in a 150cl Magnum.

Here the Chardonnay grapes are from their oldest plot, over 100 years old and planted in 1920.  They grow on chalky subsoil with a layer of gravel and clay up to 40cm thick. As is typical for the winery, they are harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously in large wooden barrels and aged for up to two years in barriques. Unfiltered, unfined. 

Expect deep fruit and delicate acidity. Lively with a hint of almond, the aromatic core is firm and full-bodied.
