i Vigneri di Salvo Foti – Vinudilice Rosato 2021

Vinudilice Rosato is a Rosè wine from i Vigneri di Salvo Foti, high up on the Volcanic slopes of Mount Etna…and oddly… it has a nose of Rosé champagne?!? 💎

That’s right!

Made from Grecanico, Minella and Alicante and taken from very old vines on a 0.3 hectare plot, which could perhaps be one of the highest vineyards in Europe at 1300m above sea level (!), the previous vintage of this elegant Rosé was truly mineral driven and made with exceptional skill by the master, Salvo Foti, and strangely, it actually smelled like a rosé champagne (in the best way!)

Around 1000 bottles made…

Classy, interesting and volcanic – this is a Sicilian gem and highly recommended!
